Certificate In Process Oriented Palliative CareTraining in End of Life Care for Professionals, Families, and Caregivers This 2 year certificate training course focuses on the development of tools and techniques helpful in connecting with patients in out-of-ordinary states of consciousness, such as those found in illness, dementia, delirium, vegetative states and coma, and at the end of life. It presents in-depth training in process-oriented techniques that enhance skills for relating to loved ones and patients, providing ways in which to support the individual’s inner and outer experiences. Process oriented Psychology, or Process Work, is a multi-disciplinary and holistic approach to all of life’s experiences. It holds the belief that physical symptoms, altered states of consciousness, relationship problems, group conflicts and social tensions, when approached with curiosity and respect, can lead to new information that is vital for individual and collective growth. This course takes place over a period of 2 years and is taught through seminars, teleconferences, e-mail discussion, and peer group interaction. Seminars include theory, demonstration, supervision, video and case study, and hands on practice.
