Occupy the Heart
Keys to learning Worldwork Skills
This Sydney student only ANZPOP training weekend will focus on skill development for facilitating small and large group conflict. The international Occupation movement calls us to facilitate deep democracy at home and in our local and global communities. We need to be able to occupy the 99% position and the 1% position and know how to facilitate in ‘hot’ spots. The weekend will include Worldwork theory, skills and metaskill practice and awareness training for working with conflict.

Creativity and Life Myth
The intent of this seminar is to explore and play in and around the intersection of consensus and non-consensus realities, the everyday and the eternal; to learn fresh ways of "shamanising" into your own creative flow; and to find and use the key to this adventure which is embedded in the construct of your Life Myth.

Working with Altered and Extreme States of Consciousness and Mental Health Issues
During this weekend we will cover the underlying process-oriented theory and philosophy in working with far-out states of consciousness presenting in our clients and ourselves. We will explore the range of experience between states that are slightly altered and those that are found to be more extreme and beyond everyday awareness. We will be acquiring the skills needed to work with a diversity of symptoms and learn how to support the deeper meaning that is trying to emerge from the disturbance.
Topics addressed will be:
- Differential diagnosis and ways in which to identify behaviours that lend themselves to specific DSM categories.
- Mental health issues and the impact of these on the individual’s life.
- The need to develop family and community support.
- The Process Work concept of the ‘city shadow’.
- Attitudes and belief systems towards unusual states of mind prevalent in our culture.
- Violence, suicide and self-harm.
