PROCESS WORK COMMUNITY CONFERENCE 2026
WHEN THE WORLD SPEAKS:
RADICAL LISTENING IN URGENT TIMES
FRIDAY & SATURDAY, 21–22 AUGUST 2026
on the land of the Yugambeh language people
Gold Coast, Queensland
Learning to hold what we oppose has never seemed so necessary and so transformative.
In an increasingly polarised world, this year’s ANZPOP Community Conference explores the transformative edge of Radical Listening - a practical, experiential deep-dive into the heart of what we find disturbing and urgent.
From space, the world appears as a whole, but conflict shatters us. Our bodies absorb the impact, and listening can feel impossible.
In a conflictual world, listening is a radical act.
When collective tensions rise, learn how to listen to multiple perspectives and move fluidly between them. We want to do better with conflict - by finding its essence, we will transmute it.
Radical listening empowers us to work more effectively with our clients, communities and ourselves, especially when challenged.
Join us this August, together we’ll explore our high dream for humanity, focus our leadership, learn new skills for conflict and grow our capacity to make the world better.
DAY ONE — FRIDAY 21 AUGUST
SESSION 1 — PRESENTATION
Awareness in Action — Radical Listening is Understanding Our Many Selves
Process Work invites us into awareness in action - an ongoing noticing of who we are in each moment, and how that interacts with others and the world. Yet Process Work asks us to go further, past our roles and more known identities. It asks us to heed what we are - not just our many selves, but our indivisibility from a wider, knowing world; to what Process Workers call the Dreamingbody, or what Don Juan called the Nagual.
In this interactive session, we will explore the possibility that we are not just one self, but many, perhaps even infinite, selves, each carrying different perspectives, roles, and potentials. Through the metaskill of fluidity, we will begin to recognise, befriend, and move between these selves - deepening our capacity for radical listening in urgent times.
Presented by Dr Martin Hemsley

SESSION 2 — GROUP PROCESS
Radical Listening
The Group Process puts into action the theme of this year's Community Conference — Radical Listening, and how to listen more deeply to the many parts of ourselves, each other, and what the world is wanting us to hear.
Arnold Mindell's work tells us that there are many openings into the deeper parts of ourselves — notably our dreams, relationship conflicts, and the roles we take up in our families, communities and the world. Facilitated Group Process offers us a way to notice and explore these roles as they emerge in a group setting, providing a perfect scenario for exploring the many different and emergent parts of ourselves and the world.
Facilitated by Dr Jane Martin

DAY TWO — SATURDAY 22 AUGUST
SESSION 3 — GROUP PROCESS
Holding Our Awareness
Following yesterday's exploration, Session 3 continues the learning into its next phase. What's up for us? How can we deepen our capacity to hold the roles, tensions and emergent material that is surfacing? After a night's dreaming, pondering and reflection, we will explore what wants to be held, and what new awareness is ready to step forward.
We'll debrief on the structure of what happened, drawing out our learning together and what it means for us.
Facilitated by Dr Jane Martin & Team

SESSION 4 — FINAL PRESENTATION
Life Myth — How Does the World Need You?
What if each of us had a longterm pattern that shapes our life, the people we fall in love with, our relationships, the work we do, our repeating health issues, accidents and addictions? Arnold Mindell, founder of Process Work, asked us: "Why are we here in this life, on this earth?" - and encouraged us to keep exploring this.
We have a big pattern, called the Life Myth, and it is discoverable in our earliest childhood dreams, memories, long-term body symptoms, or relationship conflicts. In this session you will have an opportunity to anchor what you've learnt over the past two days with your bigger purpose, and how you might bring this into your life and relationships more.
