diverse states of getting along

Process Work Community Conference

Keynote presenter: Mark Yettica-Paulson

Fri & Sat, 22nd & 23rd August 2025

on the land of the Yugambeh language people, Gold Coast, Queensland

Working out how to get along has never seemed so necessary and so difficult...

These times are calling for our best work together.

Calling for us to show up, tolerate discomfort, and find sustainable and equitable paths along our shared future. All whilst honouring the ways we're radically different.

But honestly, how do we actually make that work? What does that look like in action?

How do we work across differences when they involve sometimes contradictory ways of being in the world, altered states, power dynamics, and when we simply have to get things done?

Developed over forty years across more than 40 countries, Process Work has developed many powerful insights and techniques for working across differences. Tools and awareness for working with different levels and concepts of reality, contradictory communication signals, and group dynamics. And at the same time, the heart of Process Work - its greatest strength and energy conductor – is working with what isn’t yet known, unfolding disturbance to find what is emerging.

This year’s Process Work Community Conference focuses on the practice and application of process-oriented skills and mindsets for getting along - across, despite, and because of our differences.

These times are calling us to learn together in our diversity, to build our collective muscles, and practice navigating our differences. Join us for a deeply experiential, practical, and emergent two-day conference of presentations, experiential practices, groupwork, and teachings, beginning with an interactive keynote presentation by Mark Yettica-Paulson.

SESSION 1 KEYNOTE - MARK YETTICA-PAULSON

We are honoured to have Mark Yettica-Paulson presenting the keynote session this year. Mark is an experienced intercultural leadership and collaboration specialist, and an Australian Indigenous leader from the Birrah, Gamilaroi and Bundjalung peoples, from South East Queensland and North East NSW regions. Mark has combined his own wisdom and knowledges with Process Work methods as part of his work with Deep Collaboration – finding new ways for First Nations and Other Multicultural Australians to lead together.

He is the founder and Chief Director of Super Native Unlimited, specialising in creative and cultural leadership development, and is the Deep Collaboration Lead for Collaboration for Impact, Australasia’s leading capacity building and learning network for responding to complexity through effective collaboration. Mark brings decades of wisdom from his career in leadership development and community education across the corporate and government sectors, where he has facilitated leadership programs and advised organisations such as National Australia Bank, Australian Football League, Medibank Australia, Australia Post and The Foundation for Young Australians. Mark was also the CEO of the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre, a senior leader at Office of the Registrar of Aboriginal Corporations, and continues to support the work of the Victorian First Peoples’ Assembly for Treaty in Victoria. We are very excited to both learn from, and explore with, Mark as part of this conference.

SESSION 2  - INTERACTIVE GROUP PROCESS "SEEDING AFTER THE FIRE"

A facilitated live group process that further explores the theme of Mark’s morning session. Expect to dive deep, sit together in the discomfort and be moved by what’s emerging. Following the group process we will have a debrief with Mark and other Process work facilitators to discuss the structure of what unfolded.
Facilitated by Mark Yettica-Paulson and Jane Martin.

SESSION 3  - BLURRED BOUNDARIES: PERSONAL & SYSTEMIC SHIFTS IN GROUP DYNAMICS

When is an issue personal, and when is it systemic? This interactive presentation digs into the fractal dynamics of group work, where the personal and systemic are intricately intertwined. In any group setting, we exist both as individuals and as part of the collective, often blurring the boundaries between personal experience and systemic patterns. Why do people tend to shift focus - leaning into the personal when facing systemic challenges, and vice versa? Through lessons learned from their recent experiences working on conflict transformation within climate and social justice movements and experiential practices grounded in Processwork, Beck Ronkson and Bec Lang offer practical insights on how to hold both personal and systemic realities in group facilitation.

SESSION 4  - BEYOND WHAT WE SAY: THE GOLDEN POTENTIAL IN MIXED MESSAGES

Why don't our actual conversations match what we rehearse in our minds? Process Work diplomate Grzegorz Zielinski demonstrates how subtle unconscious cues create complex dynamics in our interactions. Learn how amplifying rather than controlling mixed signals in our relationships can bring forth their deeper purpose. Embrace a deeply democratic perspective by acknowledging all aspects of your expression, and make your communication more purposeful as a result.
