Working at the Edge of the Unknown
Transformation and growth happen in therapy when clients are supported to work at the edge of the unknown.
Staying in the known is comfortable but no growth happens.
But go too far into the unknown and it’s not safe enough for growth.
Finding and staying at the client’s edge between the known and unknown is an essential skillset for therapists who want to do deep work without causing harm.
In this three-hour online training, learn from live case demonstrations and take away clear, practical skills you can apply immediately to your work with clients.
Learn about:
- using different methods of edge exploration and the indications for each
- framing the experience of being at an edge
- momentary and long-term edges
- using different experiential channels to unfold the process at the edge
- using of process-oriented role play
- exploring the polarities in edges
- how to notice signals and signal patterns at the edge.
If you’re yearning to go deeper in your work with clients but nervous about how to do it safely, this training is for you!

ANZPOP acknowledges the traditional owners of the lands we live and work on, the Aboriginal Australian, Torres Strait Islander, and Maori peoples. We pay respect to their elders past, present and future. We give thanks for the wisdom of these peoples that has informed the Process Work approach. We honour the courage, resilience and spirit of traditional peoples in the face of the devastating impact colonisation has had and continues to have on their culture, wellbeing, and sovereignty.
